Stealing Vs. Adapting

Stealing Vs. Adapting

What is stealing? What is copying? What is adapting? Ken, Tom & Mark share their thoughts on this episode. One important note – stealing is illegal. It should be handled in a court of law, not social media.

This summer’s Vent Haven Ventriloquist ConVENTion promises to be one of the biggest ever! You don’t want to miss it! Today, Mark, Ken & Tom share what you can expect if you attend.

Not attending? Don’t worry – we will be streaming some live video clips on the VH ConVENTion page at FaceBook. Even if you don’t have a FaceBook account, you should be able to see them. (If you can’t, sign up for that week and then delete the account if you don’t like the site.)

We hope to see everyone there next week!

The Puppets Take Over

Tom, Ken and Mark were not available this week – so we weren’t going to have an episode. Luckily, some friends took over and the results are ventriloquism from a puppet’s point of view.

Enjoy!

Backdrops

Why should you consider a backdrop? Is it important? What kind should you have? Today, we discuss backdrops, the good, the bad and the ugly.

At one point, I mention two places I order backdrops. Here are the links:

For custom printed vinyl banners like I use in my library shows, I send the artwork to:
AllStateBanners.com
I order a 5′ wide x 6’tall banner with hemmed edges and 3″pole pockets, top and bottom. The top pocket accepts am adjustable length pole that fits on top of photo backdrop stands. The bottom pocket holds a 5′ long wood closet rod to help weight it down. The banner is rolled up with the design side in and secured with velcro straps for transport.

For my brick wall backdrop, I sent custom artwork to:
San Diego Sign Company

The frame I use is at this link.
