A lot of you know that I use soft puppets in most of my shows but did you know that I do have one hard figure? It’s a figure from Kem Poyner. I love this figure because of his cartoon look. Meet Alonso, my little Mexican character.

Great looking character.
I had a Kem Poyner I sold a few years ago. My ex called him “Scary Dummy” and made me keep him locked in a trunk in my storage. Of course he was nowhere as cartoony as Alonso.
I love this little guy. I was worried when I bought him because people say the kids are scared of hard figures. Well, that has not happened even once with this little guy.
He is cute! Kids seem to like my Goody too.
I think it’s all a matter of how they are presented.
How they are presented is big but I think certain puppets have features that just communicate non-threatening.
That is why I have Alonso. He’s cartoony.
I like Alonso, I agree he is cute and non-threatening. Does he have a Mexican sombrero?
Actually Wally, he does not. I’ve tried different ones but have not found one that really works, as in look not function.
Perhaps he would prefer a fedora instead?
A fedora would not work with his personality.
